Join NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania for our final Stories That Heal event of the spring.  On Thursday, June 27, we're featuring Kristie Knights, author of Unsung Heroes: Deconstructing Suicide Through Stories of Triumph. Her book is a compilation of stories from dozens of writers from across the world who each shares their personal experience with suicide, both thoughts and attempts. Kristie and several contributors from her book will be there to read excerpts from their stories and take questions from the audience. The event will take place on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at City of Asylum

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kristie Knights is a psychotherapist, professional speaker, and podcaster.  She has co-authored several #1 sellers, including The Better Business Book Volumes 2 and 3.  Kristie is also the founder of the IRise Leadership Institute, a nonprofit that works to eradicate suicide one life at a time.

Stories That Heal is a free monthly event featuring local authors who have written books about their experience–or a loved one's experience–with mental illness.  Throughout the course of the hour, the featured author reads excerpts from their book, shares details about their life, and takes questions from the audience. The welcoming environment at City of Asylum provides the perfect setting for this intimate discussion about individual experience, personal triumph, and the creative forces that help so many people achieve recovery.
